Meals on Wheels is driven by a passionate belief that senior citizens deserve to lead happy, healthy and above all, meaningful lives. From fifty years of experience, Meals on Wheels knows the best way to accomplish this: "By doing everything we can to keep them in the environment where they’re most comfortable, at home."
Meals on Wheels of Ocean County has grown into one of New Jersey’s largest and most efficient provider of senior support services. Each year, they provide meals and outreach services to over 2,000 Ocean County seniors. Whether it’s Meals on Wheels, their Community Cafe, or Outreach Services, the work they do provides nutrition, comfort and meaning to the lives of seniors.
Meals on Wheels' Community Cafe’s not only serve hot and nutritious meals five days a week, but they also serve as a place to spend time with friends and family. It offers socialization, physical activities, arts & crafts, educational programs, health screening and musical guests to help keep seniors feeling youthful. Their cafe’s offer activities to stimulate minds, encourage activity, and inspire a sense of community
