Grantee Spotlight: African Link Initiative

African Link Initiative (ALI) transforms how youth of African descent see and experience their world by first transforming how they see and experience themselves (past, present & future), and the continent of Africa.

ALI is an evidence-based identity development program that seeks to drive a paradigm shift that transforms how youth of African descent see their world and their possibilities by first transforming how they see themselves (their past, present, and future) and the continent of Africa. ALI aims to improve outcomes for Black teenagers by instilling cultural pride, increasing self-awareness, facilitating critical thinking, and teaching 21st century skills. The program has 3-parts and culminates in a service-learning birthright trip to Africa.

Our grantee partners are doing incredible work in the community - advancing an equitable, just, and vibrant Central Jersey Shore. We believe in the sharing of stories, learnings, and accomplishments of people, organizations, and community. Each week, we will highlight a grantee partner who we have funded in the prior quarter. Please visit their websites and learn more about how they are impacting the people they serve and the greater community.
